On October 1, 2021 C&L Accountancy, LLC purchased the firm of Charles A. Luther, CPA. On March 10, 2023 C&L Accountancy, LLC experienced a change in ownership and is now Pleasant Hill Tax Group, Inc. No matter our name we are committed to providing our clients with top notch tax preparation services.
Our firm is owned by Lindsey M. Hare, EA. Lindsey grew up in Southern California and graduated from the University of California, Irvine. Lindsey began her tax career in 2007 working for Jackson Hewitt Tax Service in Newport News, Virginia. In 2013 Lindsey passed the IRS three-part Special Enrollment Examination and became an Enrolled Agent. Lindsey moved to the Bay Area in 2017 and worked for a few local firms, before branching out on her own, and forming C&L Accountancy, LLC, in 2021 and in 2023 Lindsey became the sole owner of Pleasant Hill Tax Group, Inc.
What is an Enrolled Agent?
An Enrolled Agent is someone who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS test covering individual & business tax returns.
Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards. Individuals who obtain this elite status must adhere to ethical standards and complete continuing education courses every year.
Enrolled Agents, like attorneys and CPA's, have unlimited practice rights. Meaning they are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.
